The Fayetteville-Cumberland Human Relations Commission (FCHRC) is accepting scholarship applications from Cumberland County high school seniors until March 26.

High school, private school, and home school graduating seniors seeking financial assistance towards attending a two or four-year college or university are encouraged to apply.

The scholarship award is $1,000, and eligibility will be determined based on the following criteria:
- Student has resided in Cumberland County at least one year immediately prior to applying for this scholarship.
- Student will be a senior in a high school located in Cumberland County.
- Student has maintained an average of 2.50 GPA (unweighted) or better.
- Student has been admitted as a full-time student to an accredited course of study to a two or four-year college or university.

Completed scholarship packets can be submitted by mail or dropped off in person at the Fayetteville-Cumberland Human Relations Department, Festival Park Plaza, 225 Ray Ave., Suite 100. Mailed applications must be postmarked by March 267.

The Dudley Flood Center is currently recruiting middle and high school students for the Student Voices Fellowship Program, an exciting opportunity for students across North Carolina to share their perspectives and help shape conversations around educational equity.

Fellows will:
โ€ข Amplify their voices on issues impacting education
โ€ข Build leadership, communication, and storytelling skills
โ€ข Connect with peers and mentors across North Carolina
โ€ข Gain hands-on experience in advocacy and civic engagement

We encourage students, families, educators, and community partners to help spread the word and support student leadership across our communities.

Mark your calendars for Wilde Lake's annual pool party! Wilde Lake Community Association has again partnered with Town Center Community Association to double the fun.

Residents of both villages are welcome on Wednesday, August 8 from 6-8PM at the Faulkner Ridge Pool (10518 Marble Faun Lane) for food, music, games, and swimming!
