Today, Succeeding Despite Inc. was honored to attend the District 5 Free Grocery Store Ribbon-Cutting & Grand Opening Ceremony in partnership with Goodr, a national nonprofit organization focused on addressing food insecurity.

For over three years, Succeeding Despite Inc. has worked with seniors and vulnerable residents to help address the food desert situation impacting Prince George’s County, and we are proud to witness the opening of such an impactful community resource.

Through our partnership with Council Member Shayla Adams-Stafford and the Ride in Five Program, we hope to continue helping seniors and vulnerable residents access the free grocery store and other essential community resources.

Special thank you to Council Member Shayla Adams-Stafford for the invitation, continued partnership, and commitment to serving residents throughout District 5 and beyond. Together, we are creating stronger and healthier communities. 💚

Yesterday marked a successful first trip for the Ride in Five Program in partnership with Councilmember Shayla Adams-Stafford’s District 5 Office!

We were honored to safely transport our first client from their home in District 5 to an important appointment in Washington, DC — helping ensure access, support, and connection through reliable transportation services.

This moment represents the beginning of impactful work for our seniors and community members, and we are excited to continue making a difference one ride at a time.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in helping bring this initiative to life. We look forward to serving even more residents through this partnership!

Holiday Closure Notice🇺🇸

Succeeding Despite Inc. will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026 in observance of Memorial Day as we take time to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

We are excited to announce the upcoming launch of the Ride in Five Program in partnership with the Office of Councilwoman Shayla Adams-Stafford, District 5!

Beginning mid-May 2026, this initiative will help provide transportation support and expanded accessibility for seniors throughout District 5 — ensuring our older adults remain connected to the resources, services, and community they deserve.

At Succeeding Despite Inc., we believe collaboration creates impact, and we are proud to work alongside Councilwoman Adams-Stafford’s office to bring this vision to life for the seniors in our community.

This partnership represents more than transportation — it represents dignity, connection, independence, and support for those who have contributed so much to our communities.

At Succeeding Despite Incorporated, Mental Health Awareness Month is a reminder that healing, support, and community matter. 💚

Through our Restore Pathways Program, we provide domestic violence recovery coaching and supportive services that help survivors rebuild confidence, stability, and hope. We also recognize that mental health challenges can impact anyone, at any stage of life.

Seeking help is not weakness — it is strength. We encourage everyone to prioritize their mental wellness, reach out for support when needed, and continue creating safe spaces for healing and growth.
