It’s Mental Health Awareness Month and WG2G understands the importance of a healthy mind. We support our youth and their families in not only recognizing but taking action towards mental wellness. Finding a great therapist can be a daunting task for many. Affording a therapist might be a barrier as well. But there are organizations that can help you along your journey to wellness. Two National orgs with local branches are National Alliance on Mental Illness…helpline is 1-800-950-6264 or text NAMI to 62640. Mental Health America is another organization fighting for mental health and they offer a free & confidential online mental health screening. Mhascreening.org

Editorial…
Abuse in any form is a very serious problem that needs to be consistently addressed and held accountable. The data is disgusting and women of all ages are being murdered hourly.
Black girls & women in particular have alarmingly high rates and are violently disposed of daily by boyfriends, partners and exes.
People who have never been in the abuse cycle judge victims too harshly. This lack of empathy & compassion along with unsafe practices causes too many victims to keep abuse a secret until it’s too late. Shame on society for their complacency in not holding abusers accountable and doling just punishments in judicial systems!
Shame on humans who are complacent or partake in abuse. Shame on those who turn a blind eye and shame on religious leaders who reference scripture to keep women bound to murderers of their souls if not their entire bodies. YOU, ignoramuses, are the weakest link! 🤨
God bless those who assist towards liberating the abused and the thriving survivors who pull up victims of abuse and teach them they are worthy to thrive too. Y’all are the truth! 💐🙏🏽
