Bowdoinham Gift Shop Open Saturdays 8-4

The Gift Shop, located at the old Recycling Barn at 243 Post Road, is an all-volunteer effort run by and for Local residents who are passionate about recycling, repurposing, and not spending money when they don’t have to.

I'm sorry -- did you say you've never been to the Gift Shop?! You need to fix that. We're open 8-4 on Saturdays, and, starting next week through mid-September, 4-6 on Tuesdays. No excuses.

Last chance to stock up on plants! First come, first served. Everything must go. The Gift Shop will be selling these beauties at half price from 8-12 tomorrow. Here's a rough inventory of what we have:

hosta, sedum, yarrow, phlox, lilies: var. yellow, lemon, orange, stella. Queen of the prairie, spiderwort, bugleweed, vinca myrtle, creep jenny, oregano, thyme, veronica speedwell, jacobs ladder, spotted & sting nettle, violets, forget me nots, korean and peach bellflower, cosmos, coleus, euphorbia, new england asters, per.batch.buttons, penstemon, daisies, black eyed susan, meadow rue, tuberrose, snowinsummer, snakeroot, mullen, helenium, daffodils, late paperwhites, iris varieties- siberian, dwarf, immortality, intermediate. Quince, artichokes, cherry tomatoes, 1 tall tomato, chives, egyptian onions, drumstick allium, green peppers, philodendron, spider, aloe, succulents, mini rock gardens amaryllis, african violets.
Few dahlia and sunchoke bulbs. X-tall tomato cages.

UPDATE: TUESDAY HOURS WILL START ON JUNE 9, NOT JUNE 2.

We have a LOT to talk about! First of all, thank you to all the people who donated plants to our spring plant sale, and to the shoppers who came out to buy them. We still have enough left for a final sale day, but then the party must come to an end. So this Saturday, just from 8-12, all the plants will be half off -- everything must go!

And if that wasn't enough happy news, we are going to experiment with weekday evening hours for people who have trouble making it on Saturdays. Beginning next Tuesday, June 2, the Gift Shop will be open Tuesdays from 4-6 p.m. We'll keep it running through mid-September and then re-evaluate. Let us know what you think.

And, as always, come see what we have to offer this week!

Our plant sale on Saturday was a HUGE success, thanks to the wonderful volunteers who donated hundreds of plants. They kept coming in all day, even as other plants were going out. That means we have a lot left over to sell next weekend, so if you couldn't make it before, here's your chance! They'll be on sale from 8-4 Saturday.

I love wandering through the Gift Shop looking for new treasures! This Saturday, the shop will be open its regular hours from 8-4. At the same time, we are hosting our biggest fundraiser of the year -- our Spring Plant Sale. Please come and support the work of our amazing volunteers, and treat yourself to some greenery to welcome springtime in Maine.

8 to 4 benefit Bowdoinham Gift Shop
We have even more plants than last year so many generous people have donated their Bowdoinham Dug or started perennials and house plants some vegetables.
If you still have some to donate, we’ll take them drop them off at the Gift Shop southside if possible or Saturday morning
