Summer is here!
We encourage everyone to get out and enjoy the trails in Knox/School Forest, Nottingcook Forest and Hammond Nature Preserve/Walker Forest. Today we saw a Great Blue Heron while out on the Rookery Trail. Hike all the trails, then fill out an application for a Bow 37 Hiker patch!

Now that Spring has arrived we know that a lot of you will be out walking the trails in Bow. We want to make you aware of a new challenge we’ve come up with, the “Bow 37”. That is, walk all 37 of our trails, covering a little over 22 miles, send in your application and earn a specially designed Bow 37 patch.
This is a great way to get some exercise and to see all the trails that we maintain here in Bow. This is available to everyone, but of course we would love to have you as a member. You can join us at:

Bow Open Spaces is responsible for the stewardship of 20 properties in Bow. This includes checking the boundary lines and corners of each lot. During a recent inspection of the Guimond Property we refreshed the yellow blazes that identify the boundary lines and cleared leaves and branches around the metal corner pins. If you live next to one of these properties, please be mindful of the boundary lines. If you have any questions, please contact bowopenspaces.org.

That Bow Open Spaces they do more than just clear trails... Bob, bob, and Tony watch the sunset at 4:12 p.m. today, and then take a jaunt to Great Hill where Tony holds the Super Moon at 4:32!!
