The members of the Bourbonnais Firefighters Local 5035 would like to congratulate the newly elected District 2 Vice President of the AFFI, Eric Hall, in his new position. We would also like to extent our gratitude and appreciation to the former AFFI District 2 Vice President, Chris Coats, for his 16 years of service and dedication to the local unions within the district. We would like to congratulate two of our members for their recent achievements at BFPD.
Jeremiah Romein was promoted from the position of Firefighter/ Paramedic to Lieutenant and Maria Holley was sworn in as a Firefighter/ Paramedic.
These two members have shown a strong passion and dedication to this department and the community we serve since day one. Thank you and Congratulations.

The Bourbonnais Fire Protection District is now accepting applications for the position of Firefighter/Paramedic

💰 Starting Salary: $70,054.66 (as of 9/1/25)
🩺 Benefits: 100% single health coverage paid by the fire district, pension plan, vacation & sick time, holiday pay, clothing allowance & more
🎓 Education Stipends & Longevity Pay available
👩‍🚒 Must be between 21-34 years old at time of application deadline (unless exempt by law)
