Help us congratulate our newest Eagle Scout, Blake R. 🦅
Blake demonstrated outstanding leadership through his Eagle Scout project by organizing a supply collection drive and assembling adoption kits for the Beagle Rescue.
He also recently earned his Associate’s of Pre-Engineering degree from Weber State University, graduates from NUAMES High School this week, and plans to attend Utah State University to study Mechanical & Electrical Engineering.
Congratulations, Blake! We are proud of all your hard work and excited for your future ahead. 👏

Last week, several Scouts from Troop 220 completed the Automotive Maintenance Merit Badge! 🚗🔧

The Scouts learned hands-on skills including vehicle safety, maintenance basics, checking fluids, changing oil, and understanding how different parts of a vehicle work. They even had the opportunity to get under the vehicle and see real automotive maintenance in action.

A big thank you to our counselor who helped teach and mentor the Scouts during this merit badge experience. Learning practical life skills like these helps prepare our Scouts for the future.

Troop 220 had the opportunity to give back last weekend by completing a service project for the Elks Lodge. The scouts worked hard cleaning up the grounds and making the space better for the community.
Service is a core part of scouting—it teaches responsibility, teamwork, and the importance of helping others. We’re proud of these young men for showing up and making a difference!

Help us congratulate our newest Eagle Scout, Briant S.! 🦅
This incredible achievement is the result of years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Briant showed true leadership through his Eagle Scout project by collecting and assembling 500 dental hygiene kits to be sent to Mexico and distributed through the Smiles For Life nonprofit—making a real impact in the lives of others.
Outside of Scouts, Briant enjoys soccer, reading, BYU football, and spending time with friends and family.
We are so proud of all the effort he put in to reach this milestone. Congratulations, Briant! 👏

Last year, Scouts from Troop 220 had an incredible experience completing the American Indian Culture Merit Badge.

We were honored to welcome a guest from the Navajo Nation who shared stories from his youth, traditions, and culture. Scouts also had the opportunity to see authentic artifacts he created and gain a deeper appreciation for Native traditions.

To make it even more hands-on, the Scouts learned how to prepare traditional Navajo fry bread—building skills and creating lasting memories along the way.
Experiences like these go beyond merit badges—they help build understanding, respect, and character.

Troop 220 April Campout Recap

From Dutch ovens to horseback riding—Troop 220 packed a LOT into one weekend!

Scouts took the lead on the **Cooking Merit Badge**, planning meals, shopping, and cooking with camp stoves and Dutch ovens (and it paid off 👏).

They also worked on the **Horsemanship Merit Badge**, learning horse care, grooming, saddling, and getting hands-on experience.

💪 Scouts also gave back by helping clean out a ditch at the ranch—great service and teamwork in action.

🔥 The night wrapped up with a classic campfire—skits, laughs, and a few *perfectly timed* scary stories.

Proud of these Scouts for their leadership, teamwork, and willingness to jump in and try new things.
