Oregon Adaptive Sports is looking for a Program Coordinator to help plan and deliver transformative adaptive outdoor programs, from winter adaptive ski and snowboard operations at Mt. Bachelor to summer cycling, paddling, and golf across Central Oregon. In this role, you’ll work directly with athletes, families, and volunteers while managing key program logistics and direct facilitation.

In other big news today - Congrats to Lake Placid and Whiteface on hosting the 2027 Alpine Skiing Junior World Championships. It's the first time since 1994, and it's heading back to the US!

After 33 years, the Alpine JWSC return to Lake Placid, the host venue of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics, and last season's Cross-Country World Cup Finals.

NASJA is saddened to share the passing of longtime member and dear friend Claire Walter, who died peacefully at home on July 20.

Claire was a beloved voice in the ski and travel writing community, and her work, wit, warmth and stories touched so many across the snowsports world. She will be deeply missed by her NASJA friends and colleagues.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, September 9, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Hotel Boulderado. Friends are invited to gather, share stories, and toast Claire’s “annual 40th birthday” in the spirit of love and laughter she would have appreciated.

Please RSVP by Tuesday, August 25 to her husband, Ral, at [email protected], as space is limited.

For those unable to attend, donations may be made in Claire’s name to the Food Bank of the Rockies. Photos and notes may also be sent to Ral.

Our thoughts are with Claire’s family, friends and all who knew and loved her.
