i have officallyu graduated itc!!! awsome freedom is a great feeling. also terrifying. had my first addtion thoughts to get high. driving around by myself it was like this huge sudden crack in my skull. i could feel the thoughts pouring in with justifications. i didnt have probation as a wall to keep them out. it was pretty intense. so i called my friend the one that i knew was on gaurd for me getting high. i know she will drop me as a friend soon as i got high. thats why i called her. she would know how to remind me of all the reasons why i shouldnt and all the reasons why i needed to stay sober and who better to be honest with me! it was a really great feeling to drive all by mysefl back to safty to call my friends and still be sober. i went and stop by to see my favorite person and inside i knew that i was totally an awsome person for not being high and to be able to say hey friend and still be sober. idk alll i can say is today is a great day!!!!

one of the most fundemental things i have learned is to pass on our message to other na & aa'ers. that means i must think about other people more then myself. the more important thing is to practice this in all my affairs! in my opinion that is what alcohloic or narcotic annonymous is all about.
big book "abandon yourself to god, as you understand god. admit your faults to him and to your fellows. clear the wreakage of your past. give freely of what you find and join us." it is a very simple- though not always easy. but it can be done!! (pix)

1. We admitted we were powerless over nothing- that we could manage our lives perfectly and those of anyone else who would allow us.

2. Came to believe there was no power greater than ourselves and the rest of the world was insane.

3. Made a decision to have our loved ones and friends turn their wills and lives over to our care even though they couldn't understand us at all.

4. Made a searching and fearless moral and immoral inventory of everyone we knew.

5. Admitted to the whole world at large the exact nature of everyone else's wrongs.

6. Were entirely ready to make others straighten up and do right.

7. Demanded others to either "shape up or ship out."

8. Made a list of all persons who had harmed us and became willing to go to any lengths to get even with them all.

9. Got direct revenge wherever possible. Except when to do so would cost us our own lives or at least a stiff jail sentence.

10. Continued to take the inventory of others and when they were wrong promptly and repeatedly told them about it.

11. Sought through bitching, complaining, and nagging to improve our relations with others as we couldn't understand them at all, asking only that they knuckle under and do things our way.

12. Having had a complete physical, emotional and spiritual breakdown as a result of these steps, we tried to blame others and to get sympathy and pity in all our affairs.
