Fluorescent chalcedony & calcite from the FMC Oct 4 & 5th NW Nebraska geology field trip.

We ran our annual geology field trip to NW Nebraska for fairburn agates and fluorescent watermelon chalcedony & calcite. 40 people from 5 Colorado Mineral Clubs attended. Thursday night was testing a new UV flashlight. Friday was digging out a vein of high grade watermelon chalcedony & calcite in 91* temps. Saturday was agate collecting. Saturday night's fluorescent watermelon hunt was rained out. So we went out Sunday morning collecting watermelon in the mud. Fluorescent mineral photographs will be posted in a few days once I clean them.
