We set up hanging coffees at Rayback Collective last month and today my heart was so moved to see the board OVERFLOWING with donations. Listen y'all, times are really tough and our daily feeds are filled with chaos and fear but don't forget that underneath all that there is and will always be a deep well of goodness, empathy, and human kindness all around you.

Thank you so much Rayback fam for taking up the call with enthusiasm and generosity.

A little good news for your Friday -- hanging coffees are now available at Rayback Collective!

Next time you stop by, you can buy an extra drink or meal and ask the cashier to add it to Rayback's new hanging coffees board.

Anyone who needs it can ask for your donated item. No strings attached.

It's a super simple way for us to take care of each other. Let's go back to being a village.

Hanging Coffees are now available at the Little Lama Cafe, a delightfully charming gem tucked away on the Naropa campus. Thank you Lama for participating in Hanging Coffees!

Next time you stop by, you can now donate an extra drink or meal and ask the cashier to add it to the Little Lama's hanging coffees board. Anyone who needs it can ask for your donated item.

Visit a Hanging Coffees participating cafe to donate a drink or a meal to community members in need. It's help given, no questions asked.

A fond farewell to Myco Cafe, who closed their doors last month. You can still find their awesome mushroom drinks at their second location inside The Coffee Stand!

Know a cafe you'd love to see participate in Hanging Coffees? Let us know or better yet tell the cafe about us and encourage them to join! Spread the word and help us build out a whole network (including outside Boulder!)

Here are a few ways to give or receive support for people experiencing food insecurity due to the government shutdown:

1) Donate to the Feeding Colorado food banks serving the state of Colorado
2) Donate to Boulder's EFAA (Emergency Family Assistance Association)
3) Participate in person-to-person giving groups such as your local Buy Nothing FB group and the Boulder Food Exchange FB group
4) Donate a meal at a Hanging Coffees cafe (it's not just for coffee)

It's Indie Bookstore Day! I just found out Boulder Bookstore is offering a free 1-year membership and 20% off all books today to celebrate.

When I first moved to Boulder, I was told by a friend to visit an awesome amazing local bookstore on Pearl. I didn't know what to expect but when I got to Boulder Bookstore, I was delighted by all the twists and turns in the store. It was like exploring a giant book maze! There's a lovely spot on the 2nd (or is it 3rd?) floor to sit and write in your journal too. Today would be a great day to get lost in a good book & a coffee for a few hours..
