Behind closed doors, an urgent crisis is unfolding: 18.4% of families with children are fighting a daily battle against hunger and are classified as food insecure.

For many of these families, adults are the only ones skipping meals. But in about 10% of households, everyone (including kids) is food insecure.

Special delivery: 16,000 lbs of food for our community! 📦 That translates to nearly 13,000 meals valued at about $30K, wow!

Our volunteers deserve a first-class stamp of approval for sorting, date-checking, and boxing up an incredible 8 tons of food for our shelves. It takes over 100 individual volunteers to make this food drive happen every year. A big thanks to the teams at Boulder Rotary Club, Elevations Credit Union, FrescaFoods, NetApp, and Qualcomm for coming out!

And to the mail carriers and everyone who contributed: Consider this post our certified letter of appreciation to every single one of you, too. Our community always delivers when it matters most. 💌

The countdown to summer break when you’re a kid is a feeling you never forget! In a few weeks, Boulder Valley schools will close for the summer, and while it’s a time for fun in the sun, the reality is that many children won’t have access to reliable daily meals.

Right now is a great time to donate snacks or personal care items for kids – like child-sized toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, juice and milk boxes, yogurt tubes, snack bars, etc.
