“There’s literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. Yeah. I think it’s called Puerto Rico.”…
As a justice worker leading a for the last 20 years in , I have been inspired by this country’s civil rights journey and by the legacy of public service and volunteerism. Yes, I have also been often discouraged by the systemic roadblocks to equity a history of racism has put in place.
Yet, no struggle has made me burst into tears as I did when I heard this hate speech come out of Trump’s rally yesterday at Madison Square Garden
Colegas, this is not a partisan matter. This is an unprecedented, hate, bias, and bully driven human frequency coming from a presidential election I don’t believe we have ever seen in our lifetime. Trump took the stage at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, a parade of speakers had already spent hours disparaging Latinos, Black people, Palestinians and Jews; directing misogynistic comments at Vice President Kamala Harris; and echoing language used by the Ku Klux Klan.”

A range of speakers at Madison Square Garden on Sunday disparaged Latinos, Black people, Palestinians and Jews, and made vulgar references to Kamala Harris. The Trump campaign has distanced itself from only one of these statements.
