Voice Boulder County youth and allies working for comprehensive immigration reform.

VOICE was formed in the spring of 2009 to empower immigrant youth to develop leadership skills and use their personal stories for the purpose of educating lawmakers and the community on the negative impact of the current immigration system. We do public education on our current set of broken laws and empower people to get involved and work for change.

I thought the group might enjoy this. Prof. Joseph Carens is a pre-eminent philosopher who has been working on immigrant rights for decades. This video is a panel discussion (read: debate) on the issue of granting amnesty to undocumented immigrants. In the video, you see him wipe the floor with a right wing academic. I think we can all find a lot that's helpful from this discussion. Enjoy!
