Between the Lindsay Clancy case and Cornell 7 nightmare, I’m moved to write another personal reflection.

This one touches meditation, narcissistic abuse, and the place within ourselves that abuse cannot overtake.

For me, meditation was never something I turned to because of the abuse. It was already there. And when the relationship continually pulled me away from my own perception, inner wisdom and sense of self, meditation kept returning me to myself.

Perhaps that is one of its greatest gifts.

When “no” is not allowed to mean no...

What happens when sexual coercion occurs inside an intimate relationship, where entitlement, pressure and control have already blurred the boundaries of consent?

The Lindsay Clancy case raises a larger question about power, framing, and the way institutional authority can reinforce a story before its underlying assumptions have been fully examined.

Your responsibility is to recognize what is happening, honor what you know, and make choices that protect your safety, well-being, and connection to yourself.

Sometimes the most important boundary is deciding who gets access to you.

Abuse does not always remain within the relationship.

When distorted narratives enter psychiatric, legal, and family-court systems, they can acquire authority—and the very systems intended to protect can become part of the harm.

Understanding these dynamics is essential to recognizing what is happening and protecting yourself and your children.
