https://linktr.ee/cannapsychsymp SSDP’s Structure as a Grassroots OrganizationSSDP is comprised of student chapters all across the world. While SSDP has a variety of national campaigns and actions that everyone can participate in, chapters are also encouraged to work on those issues that have the most traction in their own communities. Annually SSDPers convene for a national conference. There, stu

dents acquire essential activist knowledge and skills. Also, chapters elect students to serve on SSDP’s Board of Directors. The Board in turn selects and oversees SSDP’s executive director, who is responsible for tending to both the day-to-day operations of the organization, as well as its long-term direction. An important duty of the executive director is to hire and manage staff. Currently, besides an executive director, SSDP has a deputy director, and two outreach directors. Ultimately, the SSDP staff exists to serve and represent SSDP’s chapters and activists. Values StatementSSDP neither condones nor condemns drug use, rather we respect the right of individuals to make decisions about their own health and well-being. We encourage honest conversation about the realities of the drug war. We promote youth civic engagement as a critical tool in reforming drug policy. SSDP respects the diverse experiences and identities of our constituents. We develop leaders who advocate for policy changes based on justice, liberty, compassion and reason.Key ValuesShared power and authorityYouth-controlled agendaCollaboration and partnershipConstituent-specific strategiesLearningDiversity and inclusionPlease read more about SSDP as a national organization at http://ssdp.org/about/ or contact:Students for Sensible Drug Policy1011 O Street NW , DC 20001Phone: (202) [email protected]

is going to be joining us as the opening plenary speaker for the 2023 Cannabis and Psychedelic Symposium!

As the CEO of , she is the first black dispensary owner in Colorado, and not only that, she is a now a CU Borad Regent. In the past ssdpcu and our sister chapter .clubcuboulder has struggled to provide drug testing for the general student population at CU, due to the overwhelmingly conservative political agenda of previous CU board regents. Wanda returning to our symposium, as not just a cannabis entrepreneur, but a drug war conscious CU Regent from our cannadelic community marks a new age for safe use, equity, and harm reduction at CU. It is truly our honor.

join us on April 15 via zoom to see Wanda James speaking at 11:15 am MST.
