Come and join the helpful, supportive, and fun community of CU Toastmasters. We have an excellent group of members that we would be more than happy for you to join. Our group likes to put a fun spin on the art of public speaking. Sometimes our meetings will feel like a comedy club, or a debate, or any public speaking event you could imagine. One example of a fun and useful activity was when we were all trying to sell a random object in our classroom to our group. Conquer one of the most common fears

CU Toastmasters offers a safe, non-judgmental place to conquer the fear of public speaking. Our members and leaders will make you feel comfortable to freely practice this critical skill. I personally struggled in my first few speeches due to nerves and anxiety, but the support and non-judgemental attitude of our club helped me settle in and improve significantly. Currently, the opportunities to practice speaking in front of large groups are almost non-existent, but toastmasters finds a creative way around that. We do everything we can to utilize the online public speaking to the fullest extent. You can practice public speaking in exactly the same way you would in person. According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers, the best skill to develop as a job candidate is verbal communication. CU Toastmasters is still here! Despite what is going on in the world, we have still managed to develop an amazing and supportive community online! This shows the exceptional strength of our club. During these isolating times, this is a unique opportunity to connect with a group of great individuals that want to help you succeed! CU Toastmasters can help you conquer your fear. We are a positive and encouraging community of speakers of all levels. Some are learning English as a second language while others are polishing the art of oratory.

Come and learn to how to improve your public speaking with us! We are your local campus community charter of Toastmasters International, a well recognized nonprofit. We have a long history on the CU campus.!

We meet every Wednesday from 7-8pm, CU Leeds School of Business. Room 340 Koelbel. Message us for more info on FRE PARKING. Guests always welcome! Open to all students, faculty, staff, and those in the larger Boulder community not affiliated with the University.
