Old Dogs New Digs

Old Dogs New Digs advocates for senior dogs in need. We work with shelters, vet clinics, and individuals to find homes for this special group of dogs.

We support shelters, veterinary clinics, and individuals who need to find loving and comfortable homes for this special group of dogs. We are based in southern Maine and build a network of foster families throughout the state who are able and willing to share their roof with senior dogs who are without a home. We help to ensure that old dogs in need are sheltered comfortably, well nourished, and g

Meet *adoptable* Buckaroo in Colorado❤️!

This incredibly sweet and affectionate senior gentleman came to us as a loving and easy going old guy, and has been a joy to all of us ever since! He’s 15 yrs old, and we would love to find him his forever home where he can live out his retirement being cherished and loved.

As many seniors his age, Buckaroo has some arthritis and age related changes. But he is on a few medications that have helped him feel his best. He had a recent dental surgery with extractions, and has healed nicely. Buck is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and up to date on his veterinary care. Now all he needs is to find his forever family!

Here are some great things to know about Buckaroo:
*He loves people
*He gets along great with other dogs, and will even snuggle with them if they enjoy it
*He is house trained
*He would do best in a home without too many stairs
*he has limited hearing
*He loves his walks
*He loves mealtimes
*He loves sleeping in bed with his humans
*He has a funny bark, and uses it to communicate his needs
*He loves to be near his humans

Meet *adoptable* Mabel in Colorado!!!!

If you are looking for a best friend to cuddle, go for walks with, and spend quality time with, Mabel’s your girl!!! She gets along with other dogs who respect her space, is super affectionate and sweet, and absolutely LOVES her people. She would do best in a home where her humans are around a lot, and in a home with no feline friends.

Mabel is a 9 yr old Havanese mix with a sweet and funny personality. She is in great shape for a senior, and still has a pep in her step. She’s up to date on her veterinary care, spayed, vaccinated and had a recent dental surgery. Now all she needs is a family of her own.

Meet *adoptable* Annie located in Northglenn, Colorado! If you’re looking for a tall athletic pup with plenty of energy and pep - this is your girl. She will be your shadow and your best pal after a few treats and some play time.

💜 Young at heart - approx. 10 years old
👫 Loves all people, bonds quickly to her humans
📚 Knows sit and is eager to learn more!
🏠 House-trained and crate-trained
👣 Loves walks and checking out new smells
🐕Could get along with the right dog, can be possessive of toys/food so a proper introduction would be required
🐈No cats please
⚽ Enjoys playing with toys, hunting for crumbs, and lounging around
💤 Sleeps through the night - either in your bed or in her crate
🚪 Can be left loose at home alone for several hours, uses a doggie door
🕺 Full of personality and loves to snuggle
💊 No current medications
🦷 Scheduled for a dental cleaning
🏥 Spayed, fully vaccinated, and up to date on all vet care

Annie is an active and energetic older girl. She loves to play tug with her rope toy and go for sort or long walks with her family. Annie is also a couch potato and loves to nap on the couch or snuggle. She can be shy at first when meeting new people or dogs, but will be your best shadow in no time.

Welcome to our Colorado pack of oldies Lucy Blue!

LB is our newest addition, a sweet-as-pie 9 year old aussie mix. She was surrendered to the shelter because her previous family was moving, so we just had to snap her up 🐑🐄💕

She has some orthopedic issues that need some healing before becoming an adoption candidate, but stay turned for more info on this perfect lil’ lady!
