ational Montessori is a small, dynamic and growing school for those families seeking a world-class education driven by curiosity, compassion, and creativity, in a bilingual environment. Our educational programs are globally recognized by Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), for ages 12 months through 12 years. AMI is the organization that is tasked with the responsibility of maintaining the integrity of Maria Montessori's legacy. MSIM and AMI share a mission to support children's natural development and to help them become the transformative force of society. We believe the AMI Montessori methodology fosters young leaders that are kind, self-driven, compassionate, and have a positive impact in the world. MSIM is dedicated to preparing children for life; to be curious and compassionate thinkers, global citizens, and collaborative problem solvers. Nestled on an idyllic hillside overlooking the farm mesas of Boulder County, Mountain Shadows’ 8-acre campus provides students with unencumbered connections with nature, including expansive outdoor learning environments, multiple playgrounds, nature preserves, and community gardens. We have spacious, natural light driven classrooms which are the creative homes for our students. In this close-knit atmosphere, students feel comfortable pursuing their own passions, free from the pressure to conform to what ‘everyone else’ is doing. Additionally, MSIM's campus features a 4000 sqft. multipurpose facility with a fully equipped audio and visual sound booth, and a performing arts stage.
