The LMIA is sponsoring the fireworks again this year. The show usually starts closer to 11pm, with the music on the water ending around 11pm. We are planning a larger show this year for the 250th celebration. 🎆🎇 Also, help is needed after the fireworks show to haul electronics, tools, etc., from the island—and then island cleanup the afternoon of the 4th. It takes many hands to put on this show! 

We can always use help on the 3rd to haul the materials for the show to the island. The time is dependent on the arrival of the vendor, but many times it is around noon. More info will be shared when known. We also can use help on the 4th when we clean the island area back up. We usually do this early afternoon, as the kiddie parade is in the morning. Again more info will be shared.

We are ready for the kiddos…pinwheels, yo-yos, frisbees, beach balls, candy treats, and after parade ICE CREAM from SRT! Don’t miss the fireworks 🎆off Masonic Island on July 3rd, at dark, and plan to join our 13th annual lake parade at 10:00 on the 4th. Let’s celebrate America’s 250th! 🇺🇸

Thank you to those who attended the LMIA annual meeting and barbecue last Saturday. We appreciate the insight, ideas, and thoughts that were shared.
Upcoming LMIA events are as follows:

July 3rd—At approximately 10:30 PM Fireworks display off Masonic Island. (Please contact Ronald Deraas if you can help with transport of fireworks or cleanup of the island) 🎆🎇

July 4th—4th of July Children’s Parade 10:00AM. Lineup is at the Lake Metigoshe Fire Dept. building. There is no preregistration needed. This is for any and all who would like to celebrate our Independence Day!🇺🇸
We are celebrating our Lake Metigoshe State Park this year!
Parade route is to the bridge and return to the fire station for ice cream treats and favors, fire truck viewing and visiting. Please join us with your red, white, and blue!🇺🇸
