update: page has been quiet a few years. We lost Laura to Cancer in 2016. Working on breathing some life back into education and fundraising. This is the official Laura's Sparkles Non-Profit page! We are a very new Non-Profit inspired by our dear friend Laura who is ill with Stage 4 Melanoma Cancer. Proceeds donated went to Laura and her needs with 1% going to Melanoma Research and Sound Harmony C

horus, a local chapter of Sweet Adeline's International. Upon Laura's passing what was left helped to cover funeral costs and was donated to Sweet Adelines that first year. I'm sorry to say fundraising has taken a stand still but I have kept our non profit status current and made a small yearly donation out of pocket to melanoma research. I'm hoping to get something going again in the near future 1/20/23, Laura's loyal friend Nikki. We would like to help Laura's legacy live on long after she is gone. Donations have been on hold but something will be set up again in the year 2023 as I'm recruiting since assistance to update this and keep it going. This Non-Profit is run with volunteers only. With the exception of some minor fees for services needed to maintain the Non-Profit, the rest is strictly for donation.(Some examples of the fees include things such as IRS fees or PayPal fees.)

I just updated my phone number and email here. I'm renewing the non profit status yet another year in hopes of breathing life into this again. May will be 6 years since we lost Laura. We still have her altar set up and she's never forgotten but as more babies have been born and changes in life have happened time for our fundraising efforts have gone wayside. I just renewed our non profit status last week. I feel like I'm failing this legacy piece. I've published my own book and she's in there but her book hasn't been completed. There's not a day you aren't thought of Laura and few that a story of you isn't told. I spent this last week in the hospital with my own little one. Thankfully she's recovering. What would you have done in these last five years? What would you think of our Covid world? It's a different world without you? The blanket you were working on was completed and given to your namesake. You would've loved her. She has a little brother now too. And Mimi had a Mimi upgrade to Grandma. I'm typing just to post something and cause you're on my mind and hoping for some inspiration to get a new fundraiser planned. Any ideas? Anyone still out there?
