Take Action – Closing the Funding Gaps

We need your voice…and it only takes a few minutes! ACTION ALERT https://shorturl.at/ydljV

School districts are in financial crisis. Critical funding gaps persist in special education, Materials, Supplies, and Operating Costs (MSOC), and student transportation. These large shortfalls must be addressed to ensure the fiscal stability of districts and avoid budget cuts that negatively impact student outcomes.

Please take a moment to ask legislators to prioritize K-12 education funding by closing the existing gaps, so that state funding reflects and keeps pace with actual costs. Encourage them to support HB 1310 and SSB 5263 (special education), HB 1338 and SB 5192 (MSOC), and HB 1579 and SB 5187 (student transportation). Parent voice matters!

Does anyone have any plastic sand toys they could donate to Woodin’s playground? Our awesome construction team built our students this wonderful sand box area. Looking for plastic shovels, rakes, sifters, buckets and/or trucks.

Congratulations to Theresa Cussac! This morning she was presented with the well deserved Golden Acorn Award. Theresa has been the office manager at Woodin for 25 years. Behind the scenes, she keeps Woodin functioning day in and day out. We are so lucky to have her. Thank you for all you do, Theresa!
