For so many Women of Color, faith has been both a lifeline and a source of harm — shaped by racism, toxic leadership, and fear-based theology that leaves people anxious, exhausted, and unsure if they belong.

As one Soul Reparations directee shared:
“Today, I live from a place of joy and peace rooted in who I am in Christ — not the anxiety of constantly trying to be acceptable to God.”

This is the work of soul repair.

Not with certainty or celebration, but with fear, grief, and a love that chooses to come close anyway.

This Christmas, as the world bears the weight of genocide, displacement, and deep exhaustion, Soul Reparations continues to offer sacred space where Women of Color can rest, tell the truth, and encounter Emmanuel — God with us — in tenderness and care.
Because of you, we’ve offered 2,000+ free spiritual direction sessions over the last four years. These are spaces where love is practiced through presence, listening, and repair.
As the year comes to a close, we’re inviting our community to help sustain this work into the year ahead.

So many Women of Color are carrying grief, disillusionment, and spiritual exhaustion right now — watching injustice unfold, navigating church harm, and wondering where God is in all of it.

At Soul Reparations, we offer free spiritual direction led by Women of Color for Women of Color — sacred spaces where faith can be rebuilt without pressure, fear or shame.
