“Picking up things from the BTP Chapter storage room today for this month’s celebrations! A basket for Spring Fling, party supplies for the Mugford 250 celebration, and the framed chapter charter and flags for the Annual Meeting! I’m so glad they have this wheeled dolley to help me carry everything out to the car… 🤔”

This Saturday, we held our annual awards brunch! We use this day to celebrate our Good Citizen and J/ROTC Medal winners with a some speeches and a good meal! This year, we are awarding 3 ROTC Cadets, 2 JROTC cadets, and 1 Good Citizen. We also welcomed Emily Byrer from the Paul Revere Chapter to join us in a joint Gold ROTC Medal for one ROTC Midshipmen!

Happy Birthday to our 60th Regent, Rachel Trousdale! We dedicate this day to celebrating you and all you have (and will) accomplish within the DAR and within life itself. You are a strong mother of two, a wonderful wife, and (above all else) an amazing, intelligent woman who cares about those around her with her whole spirit.

She was the one who made the wonderful connection that she was born only 5 days after our Organizing Regent, Anna Davis von Rydingsvard, who created the Boston Tea Party Chapter in 1895! Mrs. Rydingsvard was born March 20th, 1856. That’s 170 years and 5 days apart! They are both exemplary women who make a mark on the DAR and will continue to do so.
