We had the honor of hosting our First Annual Soccer Tournament in recognition of Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, proudly sponsored by the New England Revolution and the Play4Peace Initiative.

This free community event brought families and youth together for a day filled with soccer, connection, and positive experiences. More importantly, it created a space for young people to build relationships, engage with their peers, and understand the importance of mental health and community.

We are grateful to everyone who helped make this event possible. At Awareness 617, we remain committed to using sports as a platform to promote mental health, build confidence, and create opportunities for our youth.

On Saturday, August 1st, Awareness 617 will be hosting a FREE Soccer Tournament in honor of Minority Mental Health Awareness Month for boys ages 11U and 14U. Congratulations to our NFL Flag Football Champions! The Seattle Seahawks took home the title in our 10U Division, while the San Francisco 49ers were crowned champions of our 13U Division. Overall, it was a great season, and we’re proud of all the athletes who participated. At Awareness 617, our goal is to keep our youth active, engaged, and having fun while creating positive experiences through sports.

Sports are also an important tool for supporting mental health. We are committed to helping break the stigma surrounding mental health in our communities and creating spaces where young people can build confidence, connections, and support systems. A special thank you to our sponsors, The Bascom Group and Dedham Savings. Without your support, this season would not have been possible. Thank you for investing in our youth and community.

Congratulations to our 8U squad for bringing home the championship at the City of Boston Mayor’s Cup last weekend! The team competed against 20 teams and came out on top, showcasing tremendous hard work, dedication, and teamwork.

A special thank you to The Bascom Group and Dedham Savings for their generous support of our youth athletes. Your commitment to our program helps create opportunities for our kids and makes achievements like this possible.

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to give out over 200 toys to families in need this holiday season, helping ensure no child was left without a gift this Christmas. Grateful to be able to spread joy, support our community, and do our small part to make the holidays brighter. 🎄✨

This past weekend we had the honor of competing in the Mayor’s Cup. All of our teams performed well and played with heart, with our 3rd/4th grade division taking home the championship! A special thank you to our sponsor, Codman Square Health Center, for believing in our vision and supporting our kids.

This fall we’re excited to partner with Major League Soccer to bring you MLS GO, the only MLS GO league in Massachusetts.

Our athletes will learn the fundamentals of the game, focus on skill development, and compete in official matches. Every player will receive an official MLS jersey and shorts.
