Ahoy! Meetup Alert! 💨🧱🚢🍻
"The Voyage of V***r" - Thurs 10/8, 5:30p at the Cradock Builders Boiler Room!

V***r control…it's one of those things that everyone has an opinion on and yet somehow there's still confusion about what goes where, what does what, and what the risks are when you don't get it quite right. We're going to fix that.

Drew Dyer and Addie Atkins from Benjamin Obdyke are joining us to make v***r simple again: smart v***r membranes, air barriers, how they work together, and where we lose track of permeability on the job. If you've ever stood in front of a wall assembly, lost in the fog, wondering where the v***r's been and where it wants to go…ahoy matey! This will be the voyage for you.

Pizza and drinks as always. Huge thank you to Benjamin Obdyke for supportinging and to Cradock Builders for hosting the geeks in the Boiler Room! 🍕🍻🥤

Pre-register via the link below or in bio and we'll see you Thurs 10/8 at 5:30p at 1476 River St, Boston, MA 02136!

Fantastic meetup tonight with Brynn Cooksey, the Air Doctor, on how he and Air Doctors Heating and Cooling team perform an energy audit. Great to see an HVAC team using the energy audit and IAQ as the guide for the work they do to improve comfort and efficiency for their clients. They set themselves apart by testing in and testing out to prove to their clients, and themselves, that the work they do is working as intended. It seems so simple, yet this is what sets them apart from others in the greater Detroit and Atlanta markets.

And as if that wasn’t enough, he spends a lot of time training the next generation through HVAC U so that installers learn the latest in BS* and HVAC, empowering thousands with the knowledge they need to succeed. Super inspiring.

Thanks for coming back Brynn! Thank you to TruTech Tools, LTD for supporting this meetup and to Building Evolution Corp for hosting the geeks from all over the country! Hope you all have a great time at the US Heat Pump Summit tomorrow.

The Air Doctor is back, geeks! Brynn Cooksey 🩺 made quite an impression at his first visit to BS*+beer Boston, and now he's back from Michigan as the keynote speaker at the US Heat Pump Summit! 🤩 We figured if he's already in town, we might as well put him to work. 🛠️

And speaking of town, we're heading to Worcester for the first time! Building Evolution Corp has an awesome space right near the DCU Center, so come check out a new spot, bring a friend, and if you and your team are here for the Summit, this is unofficially the official place to be on Monday night!

Brynn will walk us through the Air Doctor team’s energy auditing best practices: process, techniques, tools, and tips. If you've ever wondered how the pros actually find where a building is losing energy and where to get the biggest gains in comfort, efficiency and performance then this is the meetup for you!

Free pizza and drinks as always. Huge thank you to TruTech Tools for supporting this event and to Building Evolution Corp for hosting! 🍕🍻🥤

Pre-register via the link below or in bio and we’ll see you Monday 9/14 at 5:30p at 138 Green Street, Suite 203 in Worcester!

Register by noon tomorrow to get location details for our incredible site visit meetup tomorrow at Tim McDonald’s house with TimberHP .insulatebetter!

Tim is a passive house pioneering, boundary pushing architect and developer at Onion Flats Architecture who is building his own home on a wild site in Manchester-by-the-Sea. It looks like it’s built on solid rock and he happens to have a whole bunch of 5.5” thick TimberBoard wood fiber exterior insulation that he’d like to show us! 🪵💪

The plan is to install a few boards (how do you even cut stuff that thick?!? 🪚), check out the project, and learn a lot from Tim about how he approaches his work and the decision’s he’s made while building his own home.

Plus! We’ll be giving away more tickets to the Fine Homebuilding Summit 8/20-21 AND the Building Green Event 9/23 .green! 🎟️
