Every initiative starts with a spark of compassion, and HALO’s story is no different.

✨ What began in 2021 as a partnership between Brendan Little and Elsa Gomes Bondlow to assist grieving families with funeral expenses has grown into a community-focused program making a real impact.

Through advocacy, public awareness, and collaboration with the Boston BullPen Project, HALO secured $375,000 from Boston’s opioid settlements in 2024, creating the Family Overdose Support Fund.

Since launching formally in ALO has continued to support families navigating the devastation of overdose loss.

Our mission remains clear: reduce the intergenerational trauma of overdose loss through direct financial assistance, resources, and a compassionate community. 💙
