WeHope WeHope is a Boston based nonprofit organization that stands up for the ‘comfort women’ victims and human rights. Together, we work towards our missions.

We perceive 'comfort women' issue as a serious violation of human rights and dedicate ourselves to raising awareness about this issue. Started by Korean students 2 years ago, we are mostly college students in 6 different schools (Berklee College of Music, Boston University, Brandeis University, MCPHS University, Northeastern University, Ohio State University). We host various fundraisers to build

the Statue of Peace in Boston. We study the truthful history of the 'comfort women' issue and share it by creating informative online contents and hosting various public awareness campaigns.

We are excited to announce the launch of our GoFundMe page!

Crowdfunding is a perfect way to show the City of Boston the amount of public support we have. Donations of any amount via GoFundMe would take us a step closer to building the Statue of Peace.

We set our short-term goal to get 250 donors by April 2023 and are optimistic to receive your support.

Along with the victims of ‘comfort women’, shed light upon the future of women’s rights that have been neglected

1. To provide the cost/funds needed to build a ‘comfort women’ memorial statue in Boston 2. To commemorate the sufferings ‘comfort women’ have experienced and promote women’s rights
