We are proud to announce our partnership and engagement at the South African Broadband Education Networks (SABEN) Connect 2026 in Cape Town.

At Young Aspiring Thinkers (YAT), we believe that access to quality education must be matched with access to quality career guidance, skills development and pathways into opportunity. Our engagement with the TVET ecosystem is focused on strengthening the career development infrastructure available to students and graduates, helping institutions move beyond academic and technical training to provide young people with the tools, information and support they need to navigate their futures with greater clarity.

We are excited to connect with TVET leaders, education stakeholders and industry partners at SABEN Connect 2026 as we explore how technology and innovation can strengthen post school pathways and ensure that more young people are equipped not only to choose a career, but to successfully navigate it. The future of work requires us to rethink how we prepare young people for opportunity. We are ready to build that future together.

🚀 2 DAYS TO GO!

We are excited to announce the return of the Young Aspiring Thinkers (YAT) Annual Youth Month Workplace Readiness Programme, proudly delivered in partnership with Boston Consulting Group (BCG).

This year, we will be bringing together final-year students from 7 different higher education institutions for an immersive experience designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and the world of work.

Participants will gain valuable insights into workplace expectations, professional development, career planning, leadership, and the future of work from industry professionals and thought leaders.

As we celebrate Youth Month, we remain committed to equipping young people with the skills, confidence, and knowledge needed to thrive in their careers and contribute meaningfully to society.

The countdown is on, and we cannot wait to welcome the next generation of talent!

Our Founder and CEO, Monewa Matlwa, recently attended the Inclusive Africa Conference 2026 in Kenya, joining innovators, policymakers, disability advocates, and technology leaders from across the continent to explore how technology can create a more inclusive future.

At Young Aspiring Thinkers (YAT), inclusion is a fundamental part of how we have designed our AI-powered career development platform.
As we work to empower young people with access to career guidance, skills development, and opportunities, we recognise that true impact can only be achieved when persons with disabilities are meaningfully included in the digital economy.

The conference provided valuable insights into accessibility, inclusive design, assistive technologies, and the lived experiences of persons with disabilities. These learnings will help us continue building solutions that are accessible, equitable, and responsive to the diverse needs of the communities we serve.
