Smile 4 New Life Foundation Non Profit for Colon Cancer Awareness The Smile 4 New Life Foundation was born out of a personal tragedy.

MISSION STATEMENT
The mission is to raise awareness of Colorectal/Colon Cancer and to raise funds to support organizations that are trying to find a cure and eliminate Colorectal/Colon Cancer. Sharmele West-Smith lost her mother to Colon Cancer in 2013, prompting an unwavering commitment to fight against Colorectal/Colon Cancer and provide support to those affected. It was clear that had she known

early enough, they would have had a greater chance at tackling it and she could be alive today. Because of this she began researching and has come to the realization that there is a total lack of knowledge in the urban community on how to prevent colon cancer and be treated and cured with early detection. she has since aimed her focus and channeled all her foundation's energy to raising funds for early awareness as well as treatment for and transportation to be treated for Colon Cancer by donating the funds from her organization to do so. Sharmele also realizes that by giving her events she can provide a venue with marketing opportunities for other local, small businesses and new entrepreneurs seeking new customers to get exposure to the community they are in.
