Less than 20 percent of adults know what Kratom is. Do you? It's addictive and can result in overdose death. "Technically, kratom is not a traditional op**te or opioid, but it is often described as an atypical opioid because it acts on the same receptors in the brain as drugs like morphine and oxycodone. While it comes from a plant, it produces similar effects—such as pain relief and relaxation—and carries risks of addiction, dependence, and withdrawal." Over 200 deaths reported this year from Kratom overdose. Here's the scary thing. You can buy it online!

First, deaths from opioids declined in this country in 2024 for the first time in decades during the Biden administration. It's a fact, check it anywhere you like. Second, Venezuela doesn't produce or distribute fentanyl. They move co***ne to European countries. The drugs that are killing this country have nothing to do with Venezuela. So get your facts straight and understand the battlefield. This battle had nothing to do with the safety of Americans or the drug epidemic in this country. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DTIzHJjgVeA/?igsh=MXN6cm51M3Ixdjd6cw==

It is challenging enough to find treatment centers that are available for people with substance use disorders but to have a marketing organization and a group of investors blatantly steal leads by falsely advertising services and pretending to be actual treatment centers is pathetic. If you are looking for a treatment center, contact https://treatmentatlas.org

The Federal Trade Commission filed a complaint today alleging that Mercury Marketing, LLC, and other defendants impersonated substance use disorder treatment clinics in Google search

48.5 million (16.7%) Americans (aged 12 and older) battled a substance use disorder in the past year. For the first time since 2018, the United States has seen a decrease in drug overdose deaths and poisonings, with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention noting a 14.5 percent decrease in deaths between June 2023 and June 2024. More than 107,000 people lost their lives to a drug overdose in 2023, with nearly 70 percent of those deaths attributed to opioids such as fentanyl.

“While we are grateful to see a decline in the number of lives lost, we know that this holiday season, there are more than 107,000 families missing their loved one because of the tragic consequences brought about by fentanyl,” DEA Omaha Division Special Agent in Charge Steven T. Bell said.
