The Thorpe Foundation believes that the whole community must work in partnership to improve the lives of our youth. It is essential that these youth establish a network of people that will act as a support system and expose them to different career fields and opportunities. Our hope is that with the support of corporations and other non profits, these youth will not only dream of a future that includes post-secondary education, but they will also develop the skills to make it a reality. The Foundation will work in the areas of leadership, self esteem, self respect, respect for authority and self preservation by re-igniting the morals and values of yesterday through empowering youth to become aware of their past. The Thorpe Foundation will do this by engaging them in a series of educational workshops, seminars, and community meetings and speaking engagements. We will generate a host of local and national campaigns addressing major quality of life issues youth face and the impact the youth have on society as a whole.
