A special day at the Massachusetts National Cemetery at Bourne today. We got to witness the flags being placed at 88,000 graves all thanks to Paul Monti who started this in 2011 to honor all families who made the ultimate sacrifice. It was an honor to meet Paul's sisters, Patricia and Jean who keep this legacy going. We were fortunate to be part of this ceremony today to dedicate the first PTSD memorial in the country at a National Cemetery🇺🇸❤️🤍💙.

The Timothy "Doc" Cook Scholarship Foundation will be dedicating the PTSD Memorial that was finally placed in the Memorial Circle at the Massachusetts National Cemetery at Bourne, MA on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 10:00 am during the Memorial Day observance and flag placing ceremony. All our welcome to attend. We look forward to seeing everyone who can make it 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙. Thank you, again, to all who have donated over the last 12 years to have this memorial come to fruition.

This year's scholarship awards event was wonderful. Thank you to all the recipients, their families, speakers, local politicians and the media that showed up at the Thomas J. Fitzgerald Post 561 to support the Timothy "Doc" Cook Scholarship Foundation. Thank you to my family and all the donors who have made this scholarship possible over the last 12 years. This year's winners were: Emma Brooks, Sean Maginnis, Jack Kane, Frankie Finn, Tess Kane, Liam Long, Ryan Collins, Jackson Spitz, Maddie Minucci, Jack Hynes, Patrick Kennedy, Caitlin Sweeney, Rocco Blasi and Weston Spitz. Our guest speakers were Kurt Power, Keith Jermyn, Barbara Burt, Commander Tom McCarthy and Kelly Ann Conroy. The local politicians, David Biele, Ed Flynn, Erin Murphy, and Nick Collins also gave a citation to each of the recipients. Thank you all for helping to keep the memory of Tim alive and to honor his legacy of being a man for others and for spreading awareness of PTSD. Also, we will be putting the first PTSD memorial in a national cemetery in the ground at Bourne National Cemetery on May 23, 2026 and all are welcome to the ceremony at 10 AM.

May 9, 2026 at 11 am at the Thomas J. Fitzgerald Post 561, 715 East 4th St, South Boston, MA. All recipients are required to attend. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

This year The Timothy Doc Cook Scholarship Foundation Inc will be awarding 14 scholarships to local girls and boys . We thank these students for their involvement of shining a light on invisible wounds of war to ensure that no veteran carries that weight alone .
The awards ceremony will take place at the Thomas J Fitzgerald VFW Post 561 ,715 East Fourth Street South Boston on May 9Th at 11:00 am .
We kindly ask that you give yourselves ample time for parking etc .
