We have now raised $27,580 through our Nourish a Neighbor effort. 109 neighbors have already given.

This is not a moment to celebrate, but it is a moment to recognize how our community is showing up for each other.

As SNAP benefits remain uncertain, this support is already helping families stay steady and nourished in a time of real uncertainty.

Our 2025 Roast in the Coast block party was our biggest one yet! Many thanks to everyone who showed up and showed out with us on Callender St.

So many friends and neighbors came through to enjoy great food, including BBQ pulled pork and curry chicken fresh off the grill, along with free snow cones, popcorn, cider, donuts, and more. Center kids of all ages lined up for face painting, balloon twisting, beading, caricatures, and games. And everyone was moving all afternoon to music from DJ Trigga Tre and our new favorite live band .group.

What better way to mark the changing seasons than with a community block party? Roast in the Coast is your invitation to say goodbye to summer and welcome fall with food, music, dancing, and family fun.

Join us THIS SATURDAY from 1pm - 4pm at CCC for seasonal treats, exciting games, live entertainment, and activities for kids of all ages. We will also have a special live musical performance by .group for everyone to enjoy!

It’s an afternoon designed to warm the heart, celebrate the season, and remind us what makes our community so special!

No RSVP necessary. We hope to see you there!

Thank you to for recognizing CCC’s current work as well as for investing in our future. Ayanna’s office recently helped us secure $1 million in funding for the Center’s Resilience Hub project. This money will now allow us to purchase and install rooftop solar panels, emergency generator, and battery — all critical components in establishing a clean, resilient energy system at CCC.

We hope that this project will not only become a model for other Resilience Hub across the country, but also for what true collaboration between the federal government and local grassroots organizations can look like.

We were honored to have Rep. Pressley visit CCC this past Wednesday to talk about this partnership as well as her broad vision of a better future for our community and our country as a whole. Thank you also to Mayor for discussing CCC’s historic role in Cambridge and for moderating the Q&A with community members. We’re incredibly grateful to have these women as leaders in troubled times, and will continue to turn to them for guidance, courage, and hope in the years to come.

Happy Field Trip Friday! 🌟Today Camp Cowemoki had an adventure split by age! The older kids soaked up the sun and explored Castle Island’s beach and historic Fort Independence 🏖️🏰, while our younger adventurers dived into the wonders of the sea at the aquarium 🐠🦀. Learning, laughing, and making memories every step of the way! 💛

🎉 Huge thanks to for donating 8 Piper Computer Kits to the center! 💻🛠️ These amazing kits came with blueprints and 24+ Minecraft: P.I. Edition & coding projects, bringing tech to life for our young minds!

Special shoutout to Noir’s 2nd & 3rd grade class for assembling them, your creativity and focus made it happen! The kids had an absolute blast building and coding, and yes… they actually work! 💡
