1199SEIU Massachusetts BMC nurses are coming together to send a strong message that they are united and determined to win the fair contract they deserve. Every union member who joins the line strengthens their voice at the bargaining table and demonstrates that the labor movement stands together in support of quality patient care, safe working conditions, and respect for frontline healthcare workers.

We encourage affiliates to begin making plans to attend one of the picket shifts, wear your union colors, and bring members, staff, and leadership to stand alongside 1199SEIU BMC nurses. Additional details and a day-of solidarity reminder will be shared as we get closer to the event.

The Massachusetts Nurses Association needs our solidarity next week as more than 4500 Nurses and Clinicians of Brigham and Women's / Mass General Health Care Center and MGB HomeCare will be out in the street across 11 locations starting Wed July 8th fighting for their patients and our communities by seeking a fair contract with adequate wages and benefits and the dignity and respect they deserve from the CEOs at Mass General Brigham. They are demanding these healthcare workers sacrifice their own families' livelihoods while continuing to work under unsafe and unsustainable conditions that do nothing but keep their own pockets full of the bountiful profits they choose not to share with these hardworking people. So let's send a clear message that when nurses and healthcare workers are under attack, we will all stand up tall and fight back. See you in the streets !!!! Yesterday we participated in an action in coordination with Global Labor Justice to seek out Nike Board Member and Revlon CEO Michelle Peluso, who female Asian garment workers that work at Nike factories, want to speak with regarding a fair contract and safer working conditions but she has managed to evade them to discuss these matters for over a year. We went to the flagship store in Boston and attempted to deliver this letter asking for her to meet these workers but the manager tried to refuse it but reluctantly accepted it as we left the premises.

The Boston Labor movement will continue to support these workers and their campaign to fight for fair wages and just contracts
