Calling all Boston bakers! Join us for our first ever cake swap fundraiser!

All proceeds will go to Panethnic Pourovers, a 501c3 nonprofit supporting the Asian American Pacific Islander community in Greater Boston. Our mission is to focus on fighting racism and capitalism through the centering of resources, education, and art reflective of underrepresented identities and cultures. We’re run by volunteers and always look to represent the same communities we serve.

All attendees must bring a cake, recommended 6 to 8 inches. Homemade is preferred, but store bought is fine too. Be creative!
We provide the boxes; you bring the cake. We recommend you pre-cut your cake, so it’s easier for your fellow bakers to grab!

Explore troubleshooting and repair with volunteer coaches!

Fixit Clinics are free workshops where people bring broken stuff-from bikes to blenders to blazers-and volunteer coaches share their tools and know-how to help troubleshoot and (hopefully) repair items. These meet-ups build hands-on skills, confidence, community, and a culture of reuse and repair.

WHO: All ages welcome: a family-friendly event! Walk-ins welcome!

WHEN: Saturday, September 19, 1:30—4:00 PM

WHERE: Thomas Crane Public Library, 40 Washington Street, Quincy, MA, 02169

COST: Free!

HOW:
- Register at http://bit.ly/itemcheckin
- Bring your broken item with all parts necessary to recreate the symptoms (carry-in only; no oversize items)
- Bring any parts and tools you already own that might be helpful (e.g. hand tools, sewing supplies)
- Come with a description of what's wrong and anything you've tried to fix it - advance online research is helpful!

Greenroots Teaching Kitchen - 63 Pearl Street Chelsea, MA 02150

Join the Q***r Asian Baking Club in our first ever baking class! We’ll be learning how to make sourdough.

Our instructor Sana will demonstrate how to make sourdough, breaking down the steps so you know what to be looking for. Together, we’ll bake a boule for you to taste!

At the end of the class, you’ll take home recipes and some starter to make your own bread at home.

We’re offering this class for free to make it easier for any and all to attend. We encourage you to donate to support Panethnic Pourovers and our mission to provide our local community with increased access to resources, such as food and culinary education, that is accessible to and reflective of underrepresented cultures and identities.

Pies for Palestine and A Little Bird Bakes is hosting a bake sale for the Raida family in Palestine. Support the Raida family and snag some tasty treats!

Pies for Palestine is a Boston-based small bakery run by Annabelle selling pies to support Palestinian families.

A Little Bird Bakes is a bakery run by Wren, Panethnic Pourovers’s program director, using baking to make and remember memories.

We’re having a movie night featuring Studio Ghibli’s Ponyo! We will be serving a fully themed menu. Come hungry!

Tickets are limited, so get your ticket now! Your $20 ticket includes entry to the movie and all items listed on the set menu. Movie time starts promptly at 6:30 PM. Doors open at 6:00 PM. Food will be served as it appears in the movie, so participants can “eat along” with the movie. See below for the menu.

Join QT Library and Bay State Community Services in celebrating Pride Month with some crafting, resources, and food!

June 20 10-11:30am at Panethnic Pourovers (186 W Squantum Street Quincy, MA 02171)

Come celebrate Pride Month with a “grab-and-go” style Zine making event at Panethnic Pourovers! Folks can come in, get supplies to make a zine, and hang out with QT Library and Bay State Community Services! QT Library will have a bin for any q***r books you would like to donate and Bay State Community Services will have information on their mental health resources. We will also have food from a local restaurant!
