August 8 3-7pm
Greenroots Teaching Kitchen - 63 Pearl Street Chelsea, MA 02150

Join the Q***r Asian Baking Club in our first ever baking class! We’ll be learning how to make sourdough.

Our instructor Sana will demonstrate how to make sourdough, breaking down the steps so you know what to be looking for. Together, we’ll bake a boule for you to taste!

At the end of the class, you’ll take home recipes and some starter to make your own bread at home.

We’re offering this class for free to make it easier for any and all to attend. We encourage you to donate to support Panethnic Pourovers and our mission to provide our local community with increased access to resources, such as food and culinary education, that is accessible to and reflective of underrepresented cultures and identities.

If you have any questions about the event, please email [email protected].

Gauz for Life is a new nonprofit launching this Saturday! We are here to empower female refugees. 🧡

Reproductive justice is a human right, and it is currently under attack for females around the world. We create therapeutic spaces through our educational workshops that encourage the connection between food and our bodies. This is how we cultivate collective healing. 🌱

Radical Reflections presents: The History of Capitalism
Saturday June 27th, 2026
2pm-5pm
Panethnic Pourovers
186 West Squantum St, Quincy, MA

Capitalism’s hegemony over us relies on a set of myths that are widespread in the American consciousness: that capitalism is “just the way it’s always been,” or that it naturally replaced monarchies or inefficient bartering, that it’s based on a “free-market” or fair competition, that it rewards “talent” and “hard work,” and that it raises living standards across the globe.
In this History of Capitalism series, this set of myths is debunked by documenting the true human cost of our worldwide pursuit of this system since the 1400s. By the end we will see that there is nothing “natural” about capitalism, and its unethical and violent character has been a defining feature from the start

Radical Reflections is an ongoing discussion and activity-based group, based in our North Quincy community center, Panethnic Pourovers, that centers the education of radical politics and literature. We do this through learning about history, sharing experiences, and being in community with one another.

happy pride month!!

since last month was aanhpi heritage month, and now it’s pride month, PEPO’s librarians made a list of books written by and/or about q***r and trans AANHPI. being that a majority of PEPO’s library consists of q***r, trans, and/or aanhpi books, this is very much a non-exhaustive list!

comment your favorites from the list, and if you have recommendations for any other books PEPO should have in our library 💛

(tagging authors in stories and in the comments because there’s too many to tag in this post!)
