I’m doing what I can to show up for my students.

Lately that’s meant packing snacks and small essentials so they can get through the school day focused and supported.

I’ve been doing this out of my own pocket, but I started asking the community for help so I can keep it going.

Yesterday really meant a lot because a former student from the Class of 2023 at one of my former schools donated to support the students coming after them. Moments like that remind me why this work matters.

It’s Women’s History Month, and like so many women educators before me, I’m doing what I can to support my students beyond the classroom.

Lately that has meant buying and packing snacks so no one has to sit through the school day hungry.

Bronx Businesses & Community Organizations We Need You!

a Career & Opportunity Fair for our young people on March 18 from 11am–1pm, and we’re inviting local businesses, organizations, workforce programs, and food service partners from across the Bronx to join us as community partners.

We have young people actively looking for jobs, internships, and training programs, and this event is about connecting them directly with organizations that can help open those doors. Whether you can share career pathways, job opportunities, workforce training, apprenticeships, or simply speak with students about your work, your presence can make a real impact.

We’re asking Bronx partners who believe in investing in our youth to come table at the event and connect with the next generation.
