Year #6 of sharing Unicorn joy!

The Unicorns Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We bring a little magic to schools, libraries, assisted living communities, and churches by sharing unicorn joy with unicorn lovers of all ages.

This year—through fall 2026—will look a bit different for us. As we focus on family needs (moving my mom in with us to better support her through Alzheimer’s and preparing her home for sale), we’ll be limiting events to visits here at our farm.

We would love to welcome visitors! All visits are by appointment, free of charge, with donations always appreciated as a registered nonprofit. (And Joni kindly requests carrot donations 🥕!)

A Spark of Magic on a Chilly Day:
Dug’s Birthday Surprise

There is something truly restorative about watching a unicorn work their magic. 🦄
Despite the biting cold, Dug was on a mission last month to bring some extra sparkle to a very special birthday girl. Watching him interact with her and over 30 of her closest friends and family was a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do at The Unicorns Project.
The air was crisp, but our hearts were absolutely beaming. Seeing the pure joy on those faces as they met Dug—and seeing him soak up every bit of that affection—turned a freezing afternoon into one of our favorite memories yet.
A huge thank you to everyone who braved the weather to celebrate with us. Dug is currently tucked back in his warm stall, likely dreaming of the next time he gets to spread a little more wonder.

At The Unicorns Project, we often get asked if our horses are “rescue horses." But here’s the truth: around here, the roles are usually reversed. 🔄💖
While we provide a safe, loving sanctuary for these incredible miniature horses, they aren’t the only ones being saved—they’re the ones doing the rescuing. 🐾💪
The Magic of the Mini 🪄
We aren't your typical horse rescue. We are a bridge between the healing power of animals and the people who need it most. Through our programs, these "unicorns" provide:
• Emotional Support: Breaking through barriers for those struggling with trauma or anxiety. 🌈
• Pure Connection: Offering non-judgmental companionship to children and adults alike. 🫂
• Gentle Healing: Proving that sometimes, the smallest creatures carry the biggest hearts. ❤️🩹
