Honored to have been part of an unforgettable Bruins Alumni game this past Saturday 🖤🏒

Ian took the ice in honor of his brother, Colin Murphy, proudly wearing #828. In September 2025, Colin tragically became one of the 22 veterans lost to su***de. It meant so much to have the Murphy and Sullivan families there to share in this moment - his memory was carried with us all night.

Joining us for the ceremonial puck drop were Colin’s sons, Cody and Cole Murphy - a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.

Dropping the puck was Rucks 2 Pucks All-Stars coach, Steve Savage - proud father of assistant captain Austin Savage. While Austin wasn’t on the ice, he is currently serving our country with the United States Air Force, forward deployed in support of Operation Epic Fury.

A huge thank you to the Bruins Alumni team, all of our sponsor’s and everyone who came out to support - your presence made this night even more meaningful.

This was more than a game. This was family, remembrance, and purpose. 🇺🇸

Army veteran, Mike Struppa, lost his son Seppe after a hard battle with pediatric cancer in October 2024. This Sunday, Feb 22, Seppe's team the Junior Crusaders will honor him by retiring his #13. We ask all who are around to go pack the building and show the Struppa family how strong the hockey community is. Ceremony begins at 3:30, Crusader coaches vs Worcester Fire at 4, and family skate at 5:30 at Buffone Arena 284 Lake Ave Worcester.
