A herculean effort happened in town!
The Chenery Upper Elementary School collected $834.88 pennies nickels dimes quarters etc. to help neighbors in need of urgent food assistance by choosing to donate it to Belmont Helps. We collect donations and use the funds to help families in crisis. Brian Walsh Social Studies teacher initiated the coin drive, and painstakingly rolled all the loose coins collected with the help of the CUE student volunteers. What a community effort and way to do ALOT of good!!!
Belmont Helps, a volunteer group under the 501c3 of the Belmont Food Collaborative, would like to acknowlege their efforts publicly.

HUGE Thank YOU to the Belmont 4th, 5th, & 6th graders for pooling your pennies!!! Hooray to you all!!!
& deep Gratitude to teacher Brian Walsh and the whole school body of teachers, administrators, parents & kids for your support!
