While tonight’s results didn’t go our way, I couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible support and encouragement throughout this campaign. From the volunteers to the voters, your belief in our vision for a better Bossier City means the world to me.

This isn’t the end—our work to make a difference in our community continues. Let’s stay engaged, stay involved, and keep pushing for progress.

Through it all, I carry the memory of my daughter, Jessica, who continues to be my greatest source of strength and inspiration. I know she would be proud of the fight we put up and the love we’ve poured into this community.

📢 Election Night Update from Lee Jeter 📢

As we await the results of today's election, I want to share that I will be forgoing a public watch party and instead spending the evening at home, surrounded by my family and loved ones. This journey has been deeply personal, and I want to take this time to reflect and be with those who mean the most to me.

I appreciate all of the support, prayers, and encouragement throughout this campaign. While I won’t be at a public gathering tonight, I will be answering text messages and look forward to connecting with so many of you.

No matter the outcome, I am grateful for this opportunity to serve and for the incredible people of Bossier City who have stood by me.

A Heartfelt Message from Lee A. "Gunny" Jeter's Campaign Team

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Jessica Jeter-Knight, beloved daughter of Lee Arthur Jeter Sr. and step-daughter to Penny Carroll-Jeter. Jessica was not only a loving daughter but also Lee’s biggest supporter, always encouraging him in his commitment to serving the community.

During this difficult time, Lee will be stepping back briefly from campaign activities to focus on his family and grieving this unimaginable loss. However, in honor of Jessica’s unwavering support, he remains dedicated to his campaign for Bossier City Council At-Large and will resume his efforts soon.

Lee deeply appreciates the outpouring of love, support, and prayers from our community. Your kindness means more than words can express. We ask for privacy and understanding as Lee and his family navigate this heartbreaking time.
