Gilmanton Cub Scouts Pack 242 Scouting is open to boys and girls in grades k-5 and teaches life skills through fun activities and adventure.

Pack meetings are held the 2nd Friday of the month, typically at the Gilmanton Community Church located at 4 Corners.

Gilmanton Cub Scouts Pack 242 went fishing 🎣 last night!
We we able to enjoy the beautiful fishing docks at the Griswold Scout Reservation here in our own backyard!
All the scouts were able to catch to a few fish, and release them back.
We also met Bowser the giant snapping Turtle!

*All fish, turtles, and frogs were catch and release*

What an incredible weekend Gilmanton Cub Scouts Pack 242 had!!! We hosted our a Spring Campout and Cross Over Ceremony.
We were able to use the beautiful facilities at the Camp Bell side of the Griswold Scout Reservation.

We couldn't be more proud of all these Scouts and all the hard work they put into earning their ranks.
They quite literally
"Always Do Their Best"

We also had our first AOL Cross over to Troop 243 in Gilford, and my first scout (and oldest son) to cross over since becoming Cub Master of Pack 242.

We had almost our entire pack in attendance for the campout!
I want to thank all the parents that turned out a helping hand, and lead by example. We have such an incredible group, and I couldn't be more thankful to have you all part our Pack 🤝💞

Next week we will meeting for a Fishing 🎣 Pack Meeting!

Last night I had the privilege of accepting the "Cub Master of the Year" Award for the Wannalancit District in Scouting.
Gilmanton Cub Scouts Pack 242 has made such incredible strides over the last year. We have been able to double our Packs size and welcome in new families from not only here in Gilmanton, but also from Gilford, Barnstead and Belmont.
I would not be able to do what I do without the support of my amazing Committee Chair Mike Murray, and all the Wonderful Parent volunteers that are always willing to lend a hand. So from the bottom of my heart Thank You!

Gilmanton Cub Scouts have been very busy bees over the past few months!

This past year we were able to double our Packs size and welcome in so many new amazing scouts!

We have been hitting the adventures hard. And with all the fun we've been having our page needs to be properly updated!

Some of the Activities we've done lately is Host our annual Pinewood Derby, Mutiple Group Hikes, a Kickball Game, and the Memorial Day assembly at the Gilmanton School.
We are hard at work prepping for our annual Spring Campout.

As New Hampshire's February vacation comes to a close, Gilmanton Cub Scouts Pack 242 looks back at all the Fun Winter Adventures we've had!

At the end of January the Pack was able to host members from the New Hampshire Fish and Game 🎣🧊 on Loon Pond. We got to learn all about ice safety, how to drill for holes, and depths of ice!

With all the snow 🌨️ the Pack had to take advantage and met for a sledding day in February! We took turns racing each other up And down the hill! 🛷

And most recently we started our February vacation off right with a trip to the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center in Concord! Scouts earned their Astronomy Badges ⭐🚀👩🏼‍🚀🔭 and learned all about the constellations!

Our next event is the Pinewood Derby and it's just around the Corner on March 7th! We open up this fun racing experience to the public! So come help support your local Cub Scouts Pack!
