Borrego Village Association We are a non-profit corporation with the specific charter of catalyzing the development of Borrego Springs’ central business district.

The Borrego Village Association is a non-profit corporation formed as an outgrowth of the Borrego Springs Chamber & Visitors' Bureau, with the specific charter of catalyzing the development of Borrego Springs’ central business district. The BVA has begun formulating and implementing a plan for the downtown core along Palm Canyon Drive, which includes pedestrian walkways, traffic calming medians, and revitalized commercial buildings to accommodate a growing retail base.

Borrego Village Association is a 501(c)6 public benefit corporation registered in the state of California. Articles of Incorporation were filed on 07/17/2009, Corporation #02991540, EIN: #260606221. Our Board of Directors consists of Dennis Nourse, Mark Jorgensen, Jim Wermers, Gwenn Marie, Richard Orne, Susan Hancock, Betsy Knaack, Abby King, and Ben Nourse.

General information

The Borrego Village Association, through its Landscape Committee, has begun to make some ambitious enhancements to Borrego's downtown area. Thanks to an initial fund raising effort, in which many interested individuals contributed in excess of $30,000, a series of pocket parks along the south side of Palm Canyon drive have now been landscaped with trees and shrubs. The Palo Verde hybrid ‘Desert Museum', yellow-flowering Brittle Bush, red-flowering Chuparosa, coral-flowering Desert Mallow and others are now gracing several sites along Palm Canyon Drive.
