Today our hearts are heavy.

Please join us in praying for Pastor Anthony Curran, his family, Encounter Church, and the entire Dumas community as they grieve the loss of Briana. We are thankful for everyone who searched, prayed, and stood together in hope during these difficult days.

Our love, prayers, and deepest condolences are with the Curran family.

Thank you Abundant Life Church family for your love, prayers and continued support for Pastor Anthony, all the family, Encounter Church and the community of Dumas, Texas.

It is with hope in Christ that we share Briana Curran is now with Jesus.

“We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.”

The Curran family would like to sincerely thank everyone who prayed, searched, and supported them throughout this difficult time. They are especially grateful to Encounter Church, the volunteers, first responders, law enforcement, and our entire community for the incredible love, compassion, and unity that was shown.

As we move forward together, we invite you to continue standing in prayer with Pastor Anthony and his family, believing for God’s comfort, peace, and strength to carry us all.

We concluded our 80th General Assembly with a reminder to put on the garments of praise, faith and consecration. The generation coming behind can only learn from what is modeled for them. Help us, Lord, to wear them well.

Human trafficking knows no borders. It reaches across nations, communities, neighborhoods, and families. It is one of the greatest crises facing our generation, and silence is not an acceptable response.

As a church, Cross Community Church of God stands firmly against every form of human trafficking, exploitation, and abuse. Every person is created in the image of God and deserves to live with dignity, freedom, safety, and hope.

We stand with the vulnerable.
We pray for those who are trapped.
We support the rescue and restoration of survivors.
We call for justice against those who exploit the innocent.
We commit ourselves to greater awareness, education, and action.

Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted and proclaim liberty to the captives. We believe the Church must be a voice for those whose voices have been silenced and a place of hope for those seeking freedom.

Together, we can shine a light into the darkness and declare that every life is valuable, every person matters, and freedom is worth fighting for.
