**Discord Server Announcement!**

For the sake of real time communications I have started this Discord server for our Amtgard park!

This will be the fastest way to get ahold of and keep instant communication with all things pertaining to the group.

Sometimes FB notifications are not seen or don't notify till hours late so please refer to the general server chat for all your park needs, questions, and general convo to the game!

Good morning all!

Today we have a hot and windy forecast but we do have a plan to maybe mitigate the wind issue with a unique battlegame!

The game is called Treasure Hunt!

A timed team vs team event that will take advantage of the unique terrain and hiking trails a few meters into the wilderness by our normal battlefield. I'm hoping the hills, trees, and canyons can act as a wind block depending on the direction of the winds while enjoying the perks of new battlefield terrain being so readily available.

There will also be scrolls and other game loot that can be recovered each round so with each point your team will gain moderate advantages that could help lead you to victory!

Greetings good folks of The Freehold of Redhill!

After some discussion with our new players and our good friends at Evermore Hollow ( neighbors at the Canyon Chapter), we have decided to change our regular meet-up days from Saturday at 1pm to Sundays !

This change was decided to offer cross-play options for members of both parks in the future!

We had an awesome turnout today with 8 sign-ins, getting several players that much closer to reaching 2nd level in selected classes. To make this change official many of our members have agreed to attend another park day tomorrow, April 5th . Hope to see you all there!

What an awesome turnout today!

7 sign ins and 3 walk ons from randoms watching the battle games made for some fun fights ⚔️

We covered classes level. Discussed abilities and effecting mechanics. Read through of different classes and started reading into what 2nd level looks at for many of us.

2 new players joined today and found the paths of Barbarian and Assassin 🤙

Hello good folks of the Freehold of Redhill!
Thank you so much to everyone who came out to show their support yesterday at Boomtown Comic Con. We had a day full of great fights and generated tons of interest for the game!

This year was the first year Amtgard was able to host fights at Boomtown Comic Convention and while we had success we also learned so much to prepare for events in the future.

We had several people interested in joining and learning the game so we especially look forward to having you all out at our normal park days each Saturday from 1pm-5pm at the same field between the skatepark and Johnson rec center.

I am stoked to watch you guys improve your sword and art skills as we begin this new chapter of Amtgard here in Borger!

Today due to the wind, we will not have a large setup but we will be out around 1pm to bring more fights and fun. I'll have a hardcopy of the rule book for our returning new players to discuss classes and other interworkings of the game. Hope to see you all there!

As part of Boomtown Comic Con, we’re excited to introduce something new for 2026 — the Boomtown Ren Market.

Join us March 21–22 as Host: The The Freehold of Redhill- Amtgard Borger LARP chapter, a new local chapter of Amtgard, launches its first park right here in Borger.

Amtgard is a live-action medieval fantasy game where players battle with safe padded weapons, take on character classes, and step into a world of swords, sorcery, and adventure.

You can experience:

Live Combat Tournament
Battle Games and Quests
Archery Challenge
Beginner-friendly training with loaner weapons

Whether you're a seasoned fighter or completely new, friendly marshals will help you jump into the action.
