Ogden One-Room Schoolhouse

Ogden One-Room Schoolhouse When it closed its doors in December 1979, the Ogden School was the last one room schoolhouse in Delaware, Philadelphia and Montgomery Counties.

In celebration of its 25th Anniversary, the Aston Township Historical Society is hosting a slideshow presentation of southwestern Delaware County - then and now. The Chichester Historical Society provided several photos and postcards for this presentation. Don’t know if all of them will be included, but I’m sure attendees will be surprised to see how much and how little some things have changed.

Upcoming History Month events hosted by western Delaware County historical organizations. This year's theme is the 240th Anniversary of the Battle of Brandywine. The Chichester Meetinghouse, which served as a hospital and was vandalized by British marauders, will be one of the featured sites on the Freedom Tour!
