1 INCREDIBLE Summer!
We would like to thank:

- Boothbay Region YMCA Facilities Team, Development Director, HR & Business Office, Director of Operations, CEO and Fitness Instructors who popped in throughout the summer. Thanks to them, the hiring process was so smooth, 100% of campers who asked for financial assistance were granted scholarships, and our Admin team had so much support!

- Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library, Boothbay Region Clean Drinking Water Initiative, Boothbay Fire Department, Boothbay Harbor Police Department, Camp Tracy, Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences: We thank you for showing up for programming with our campers and partnering with us! We had such a great time learning from all of you!

- Our bus drivers for always being so helpful not only with field trips, but also around camp keeping the grounds clean.

- Private donors who have helped feed any child or staff person who needed snacks or lunch throughout the day!

- All of YOU! Thank you so much for continuing trusting us with your campers. We hope that they had the best time and can't wait to see everyone again next summer!

- Our Camp LEADERS! Without them, camp is not possible. Over the next 45 days we will be individually highlighting staff

That’s a wrap on Summer 2026 at Camp Knickerbocker!
We are so thankful for our staff, the campers, and all the families who trusted us with their kiddos. We had the best summer and can’t wait to share more. For now, enjoy a video of our staff team jumping in the lake with our staff shirts on, per tradition since 2020 ✨

Our penultimate week of camp is incredibly fun!
Thank you to Camp Tracy for hosting our climbers yesterday— they had SUCH a great time!
Thank you to Boothbay Region Clean Drinking Water Initiative for visiting us multiple times this summer, but especially for our mini marine biologists group this week!
We were also lucky to have Blanchard’s Creamery pop by with their ice cream truck for the second time this summer for staff appreciation night— check them out on Route 27 in Edgecomb for delicious ice cream!
Our staff team has been doing a fantastic job with program planning this summer and we are immensely proud of them. From ceramics to jungle, crafty critters to music makers, and everything in between, we’re wrapping up week 8 tomorrow with excitement to see what our final week of camp will bring us!

More snapshots of the fun we’ve been having at camp!
Career Camp had visitors from the Boothbay Fire Department, Boothbay Region Clean Drinking Water Initiative, Bigelow Labs, Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library, Boothbay Region YMCA fitness instructors, and everyone had a practice interview from one of our alumni staff! Thank you to everyone who popped over to make our days special for our career campers and share about your field of expertise!
We’ve also been enjoying fishing, DIY Spa, felting, STEAM, drawing & painting, explorer camp, woodworking, martial arts, ceramics, adventure-ing around the state, and even more from last week!
Three more weeks of this super fun summer— it isn’t too late to sign up for weeks 8 and 9!
