Boothbay Region Ambulance Service is hiring a full-time Deputy Chief and a full-time Paramedic to serve Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, and Southport.

The Paramedic wage range is $32–$35 per hour. The Deputy Chief position includes an additional stipend. Both positions are 48 hours per week and offer paid time off, holiday pay, employer-paid employee health insurance, dental and vision options, a 403(b) retirement plan, and training opportunities.

On Sunday, one of our ambulances had a flat tire, and Reny Construction stepped up to help us get it repaired. Thanks to their help, we were able to keep the ambulance in service and ready to respond for our community.

Keeping an ambulance ready takes more than the crew behind the wheel. Sometimes it takes a neighbor willing to give up part of their Sunday and lend a hand. Reny Construction did exactly that.

We were honored to join Boothbay Region Elementary and High School students, faculty, fellow first responders, and community members in commemorating the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

The display of 2,977 flags—one for each life lost—was a powerful reminder of the magnitude of that day and the importance of passing its history and lessons to future generations.

Thank you to BRHS and everyone who helped create such a meaningful tribute for our community.

A wall of 2,977 flags decorated Sherman's Field in the early morning of Sept. 11; each one representing a life lost during the terrorist attack 25 years prior. "So many names, there is barely room on the walls of the heart," wrote then-U.S. Poet Laureate Billy Collins of the tragedy.

Earlier this month, we had the privilege of celebrating 50 years of Boothbay Region Ambulance Service with our community. 💚🚑

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our Open House and helped make the event such a success. It was wonderful to welcome so many community members through our doors to tour the station, explore our ambulances, learn CPR, visit the Teddy Bear Clinic, and meet the dedicated people who serve the Boothbay Region every day.

We'd also like to extend our sincere appreciation to our staff, volunteers, board members, partner agencies, and everyone who helped organize and support the event. Your hard work made this celebration possible.

For 50 years, we've been honored to serve this community, and we're grateful for the trust and support you've shown us along the way. Here's to continuing that tradition for many years to come.

🚒🚑🚓 Together, we answer the call.

Over the past several days, our peninsula has seen multiple structure fires that have demonstrated the incredible value of mutual aid. Fire departments, EMS, law enforcement, dispatchers, and Fire Auxiliary volunteers from across the region work together seamlessly to ensure our communities receive the resources they need when every minute matters.

At Boothbay Region Ambulance Service, we're proud to be part of that response. While firefighters work to protect lives and property, our crews provide firefighter rehabilitation, medical support, and stand ready to respond to any additional emergencies that may occur while local resources are committed to a major incident.

High temperatures and humidity can quickly lead to serious heat-related illness, especially for:

⚓🚑 What a great day at the Windjammer Days Parade! 🚑⚓

Boothbay Region Ambulance Service was proud to be part of this year’s parade and celebration alongside so many local organizations, businesses, and community members. Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer, wave, and celebrate all that makes the Boothbay region such a special place.

Throughout Windjammer Days week, BRAS crews have been out around the harbor and throughout the region helping support events and keeping residents and visitors safe while everyone enjoys all that makes this week so special.
