Earlier this month, we had the privilege of celebrating 50 years of Boothbay Region Ambulance Service with our community. 💚🚑

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our Open House and helped make the event such a success. It was wonderful to welcome so many community members through our doors to tour the station, explore our ambulances, learn CPR, visit the Teddy Bear Clinic, and meet the dedicated people who serve the Boothbay Region every day.

We'd also like to extend our sincere appreciation to our staff, volunteers, board members, partner agencies, and everyone who helped organize and support the event. Your hard work made this celebration possible.

For 50 years, we've been honored to serve this community, and we're grateful for the trust and support you've shown us along the way. Here's to continuing that tradition for many years to come.

🚒🚑🚓 Together, we answer the call.

Over the past several days, our peninsula has seen multiple structure fires that have demonstrated the incredible value of mutual aid. Fire departments, EMS, law enforcement, dispatchers, and Fire Auxiliary volunteers from across the region work together seamlessly to ensure our communities receive the resources they need when every minute matters.

At Boothbay Region Ambulance Service, we're proud to be part of that response. While firefighters work to protect lives and property, our crews provide firefighter rehabilitation, medical support, and stand ready to respond to any additional emergencies that may occur while local resources are committed to a major incident.

The National Weather Service is forecasting dangerous heat and humidity over the next couple of days, with heat index values expected to climb well over 100°F across much of Maine.

High temperatures and humidity can quickly lead to serious heat-related illness, especially for:

❤️ People with chronic medical conditions
👷 Outdoor workers
🐕 Pets

💧 Stay hydrated, take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning, and check on family, friends, and neighbors who may be at higher risk.

⚓🚑 What a great day at the Windjammer Days Parade! 🚑⚓

Boothbay Region Ambulance Service was proud to be part of this year’s parade and celebration alongside so many local organizations, businesses, and community members. Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer, wave, and celebrate all that makes the Boothbay region such a special place.

Throughout Windjammer Days week, BRAS crews have been out around the harbor and throughout the region helping support events and keeping residents and visitors safe while everyone enjoys all that makes this week so special. We’re grateful to be part of such a vibrant community tradition and proud to serve Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Southport, and beyond during Windjammer Days and every day.
