Position Summary:
The Chief of Boothbay Regional Ambulance Service (BRAS) is the executive leader responsible for the overall administration and daily operations of the regional EMS agency. The Chief’s position, which is salaried, oversees all aspects of emergency medical service delivery, including budgeting, financial oversight, staffing, compliance, facilities, equipment, and strategic planning. This position plays a key leadership role in maintaining and improving EMS readiness and community health outcomes in the region.
Boothbay Regional Ambulance Service (BRAS) is a 501(3)C) organization located in Mid Coast Maine in the Town of Boothbay. BRAS serves the communities of Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor and Southport.
BRAS has an annual call volume of 1300-1400 calls, providing 24/7 coverage with 8 full-time employees and 27 part-time employees. The service is overseen by a 7–9-member Board of Directors which the Chief of Services reports to.
