Boothbay Region Community Band

Boothbay Region Community Band Band organized in 1991 by Becky and Al Roberts
and was established to accompany the veterans in the Memorial Day Parade.

Last rehearsal of the season is this evening at 7:00. Our concert is this Saturday at 3:00 at the Opera House, so I hope to see you there tonight!

No rehearsal tonight - it's looking like the roads might be a bit too icy. Please make sure to come to the remaining rehearsals (every Tuesday except November 26th) so that we can be ready for our concert on Saturday, December 14th at 3:00. Stay safe and warm!

Thank you to those who were able to join us at the Fall Foliage Festival on Saturday! It came together well, and I am grateful for and proud of the work and time that our wonderful members put into our music. Our weekly rehearsals continue this evening at 7:00pm at BRES as we begin our preparations for the Christmas performance on Saturday, December 14th, at the Opera House in conjunction with the Gingerbread Festival. I look forward to seeing you there!

Welcome back to Fall! Our new band season and weekly rehearsals get underway tomorrow evening (Tuesday, Sep 24) at 7:00 PM in the band room (on stage) at Boothbay Region Elementary. Veteran members and newcomers alike are welcomed to come help us get ready for our first performance of the season at the Fall Foliage Festival on Saturday, October 12th at the Railway Village. (Time and further details to follow.) Looking forward to seeing some familiar (and hopefully new!) faces this season!

Concert dress is black--shirts or tops, pants, socks, and shoes should all be black. (Christmas ties, hats, scarves, etc, are welcomed!)

BOOTHBAY REGION COMMUNITY BAND CONCERT,UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MARK PHILLIPS , 4 P.M.,SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2015 to be held at the Opera House. This event will be the 25th annual Christmas Concert for the band. Please come join us as we play during the annual Gingerbread Spectacular, also held at the Opera House, and hear beautiful new and ancient Christmas music for all ages, free admission.

We all loved this lady, Carol Pratt Jorgensen. This photo was taken June 28, 2011. She wanted to show me that her glasses had lights on them and they twinkled. Carol was a sparkly, fun lady. To say that we miss her is an understatement. We will miss her unique little giggle, her sense of fashion and enjoyment of life. We will miss her as a talented saxophone player in our band, whom we practiced with each week. She was a dear member of our Community Band and a treasured member of our community.
