Brethren,
It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that on March 14, 2026, our dear Brother, Robert Fischer Jr, was called from labor here below, to the Celestial Lodge above at the tender age 53yds old.
Bro. Rob spent most of his career working as a salesman at Custom Recreation and was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to help anyone who needed it. In his free time, he enjoyed watching super-cross racing and following various sports, including football, basketball, and baseball. Bro. Rob was a proud 20yr member of Strangers Rest Lodge #240, but more than anything, he cherished time spent with his family and was deeply devoted to his church and faith.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Dee; his daughter, Kirstin Bowman, and her husband, Trent; his pup Bandit and grand pup Ollie.
Let us remember our Brother for the bond we shared, and reflect upon the lessons of our Craft, that life is uncertain, that our time is fleeting, and that we are ever called to live uprightly and part upon the square. Please
keep Bro. Rob’s family in your thoughts and prayers, and may we all be reminded to strengthen the ties of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mt. Gilead General Baptist Church, 1344 Mt. Gilead Rd., Boonville, IN 47601. Visitation will continue on Friday, March 20, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
A Masonic Service will be held on March 19, 2026 at 6:00pm.
“O God, we pray for Thy hand to lead us in all the paths our feet may tread, and when the journey of life is ended may light from our immortal home illuminate the dark valley of the shadow of death, and voices of loved ones, gone before, welcome us home to that house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens, where no discordant voice shall arise, and all the soul shall experience shall be perfect bliss."
